Workshops
Workshops usually last 1 day and are generally run at the weekends. The new build workshop may be weather dependent. The cost is £80 + VAT per day this includes lunch at Keppel Gate (discount for group bookings). Contact me if you are interrested in attending.
Workshops may be carried out at different venues if possible, past examples are:
New build projects in Cornwall, southern Ireland and Sweden.
I am available to speak at seminars, which have included Slide assisted talks at C A T, University of East London for SPAB, Bath University, Plymouth University, Carbon Busters ,Edmonton,Canada
Next course is held here at Keppel gate sometime this spring depending on the result of our current planning application. It will cover all aspects of practical cob building including: material selection machine and hand mixing lift building, paring, also have a tour of buildings at Keppel Gate to demonstrate design considerations in real situations. I will be running it myself so with 25 years experience can answer most questions you are likely to have as well as some you won't have thought of. The cost is £80 + VAT (£92) this includes refreshments and lunch cooked in our own cob pizza oven! You need to pay in full to reserve your place.
Surface finishes including lime plastering/rendering and washing - This Saturday 20th Feb 2010
Covering earth and lime plaster and render as well as limewashing. There will also be a tour of the buildings and surface finishes here at Keppel Gate
