Workshops
Workshops usually last 1 day and are generally run at the weekends. The new build workshop may be weather dependent. The cost is £120 + VAT per day this includes lunch at Keppel Gate (discount for group bookings). Contact me if you are interrested in attending. Workshops may be carried out at different venues if possible, past examples are ; New build projects in Cornwall and southern Ireland and Sweden, I am also available to Speak at seminars which have included Slide assisted talks at DEBA, Center for Alternative Technoledggy, (University of East London) for society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, Bath University, Plymouth University, Carbon Busters ,Edmonton,Canada
One day cob course here at Kepel Gate - 26th May 2012
This will be the second one day course of 2012, covering new build cob as well as discussing repairs.
This is a unique oportunity to learn on probably the most ambitious new cob building project currently under construction anywhere in the world. We will be working on our new zero carbon, Code for Sustainable Homes level 6 house which we are now almost halfway through having completed the cob outbuildings on which the solar PV array sits and completed all the varuious complex foundations and retaining walls as well as the first three lifts of cob up to the middle (ground) floor level. We have two more stories and over 1000 tonnes of cob to build this year as well as constructing the complex ''gently rolling hillside'' wild flower meadow roofs before next winter.
Lunch will be supplied cooked in our own cob pizza oven.

Lime (&earth) plastering, rendering and washing 27th May 2012
Covering earth and lime plaster and Lime rough cast render as well as Lime skimming and limewashing. There will also be a tour of the buildings and surface finishes here at Keppel Gate In fact we will be working on the new zero carbon cob house being filmed by grand designs
The cost of the course will be £120 + VAT for the one day, including lunch and refreshments.
The next planned course is Saturday 19th of May 2012 book early as spaces are limited (max eight people) you need to pay in full to reserve your place.
Combine the two above courses
You can do both the above courses at a 10% discount making it £216 + Vat for the two days including lunch, with free camping or floor space with bathroom and cooking facilities, or we can do Posh B&B with en suite facilities for £50 per night or £75 for a couple
We need a deposit of £120 to reserve places
A further 10% discount for the course fees will be applied to group bookings
